More House Stuff
Well, not much has happened today. We heard them out there a little bit, but they aren't there now. Everything pretty much looks the same, but we no longer have their big equipment living in our backyard. I just thought I'd put some more pictures on for your enjoyment.

Careful! Watch Your Step!
So we have this strange thing living in our backyard. It's awfully noisy and sometimes I think it's going to tear down the house. Its latest thing it's been doing is making a huge hole. I found myself in quite the situation when I tried to walk out the back door and realized our porch was gone. Good thing I was paying attention or I could have fallen in that! Imagine a poor pregnant lady stuck home alone in a 8ft. deep hole...
Appearing very startled I looked around and found the offending creature... It was taller than the house and bright yellow. It took all of our concrete away and now it's playing in the dirt. Who knows what it's next intentions are.
So as all of you have probably figured out by now, we are giving the house a huge makeover. This makeover includes all new cement in the driveway all the way back to the garden with a retaining wall and also the patio on the other side of the backyard. We will also be extending the kitchen out 10 feet to make room for the kitchen table and the island that mom has wanted for the longest time. Well, actually it will be more like a peninsula than an island. We will also be getting a car port and possibly a new storage room under the extended kitchen. I'm not sure on the storage room because last I heard mom and dad were still deciding, but mom really wants it. They were going to have to dig no matter what if they built back there so mom got the idea of why not just make it into storage space rather than fill it back in. That way she could put all her storage in that room and turn the old storage room into a bedroom since the small room downstairs is about to be missing its window.
Well, that is all the info I have for now... I will have more pictures and info as this adventure continues to develop.

My New Favorite Thing To Do
One day this last week Shane came home from work to find me doing something very surprising. He comes down the stairs and around the corner to find me in the middle of a heated battle on Halo. Yes I, Amanda, have become interested in Halo. A few years ago I never would have thought I'd be in this position. It all started conference weekend when we had some friends over and played. I was getting frustrated because no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't compete with everyone else. Even the girl that had never played before was doing better than me and she had the highest suicide rate. This was because her way of killing people was to throw grenades and blow them up including herself. Even with her high suicide rate she ended up getting higher scores than I have ever gotten as far as kills go. Well, that day made me mad enough that I decided I needed to practice. As a result I have been playing the campaign mode by myself and I even got Shane involved. We are playing as a team in campaign mode also. I figure if I practice enough i'll actually be able to kick some butt next time we play.

21 And Feeling The Same As Always
So Sunday the 13th was my 21st birthday and it was a pretty fun day. I woke up early to get ready for church and ate breakfast by myself because my mom was at a meeting and everyone else was still asleep. I was in the bathroom putting on my make up when Shane came in and started combing his hair. He has been complaining a lot about gray hairs growing on his head and he plucked one. Well, he decided to hold it up to my hair and say something to the extent of, "That really sticks out on your head." I didn't think it was very funny at the moment considering I had hit one of those milestone b-days that makes you feel old.
We finally made it to church and I can happily say that my name escaped being in the program under the birthdays. I think it was because we had just moved into the ward, but it was cool to think that for once I was able avoid publicizing my birthday. Since we moved back into my old home ward, people remembered my birthday and it got announced in Relief Society, but it really wasn't that bad. I was dead tired during church but managed to stay awake the whole time. After church I was able to take a 3 hour nap and it felt so good. I could have slept more, but we move on to our next days activity.
We went to Shane's parents for my special birthday dinner. This was the dinner where I got to choose what all we ate. I didn't have much of an opinion on things, but I did request a fruit salad that has a jello packet and cottage cheese in it and a cheesecake for dessert. We ended up having chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, muffins, and a green salad too.
After dinner Shane and Studie decided to play halo. That was the boring part of my day because me and Krista got to sit there while they continued to play for a couple of hours. By the time we got home it was too late to call my family members that had called me back. I was sad about that, but overall it was a pretty good day.
I ended up getting a purse and shoes from my mom & dad. Shane got me a willow tree figurine titled "Our Gift" that was a mom and dad holding their infant child. He also got me a 3-6 month outfit for our baby that is white, has a tie and name tag that says "Jr Missionary, Warrior of the Army of Helaman" or something like that. It is way cute. He also got me a journal and a wall hanging that says, "All because two hearts fell in love." He sure had a hay-day in Deseret Book since that is where everything came from.
Along with all the birthday celebrations I had to go in on Monday and get my drivers license renewed since I officially couldn't drive anymore. I could have gotten it done easily, but I had to forget my marriage license so I had to go back and get it in order to change my last name on my license. Now that I have that out of the way everything is good. Overall it was a pretty good birthday experience and I even got complimented several times on how cute of a pregnant birthday girl I was.

3 weeks left
So I am supposed to be doing homework, but my mind is fried from studying even though I haven't done much today besides my math homework. I will be sooooo relieved when this semester is over. I am almost to the point where I want to scream and pull my hair out and have to tell myself I can last for 3 more weeks and I will be done...for now. Now that I got that out of the way, onto better things. So last night Mandy and I went to the Zion Park Theater with my sister and bro-in-law to see 10,000 B.C. Good movie and it was fun to see it on the biggest screen in Utah, something like 80' wide by 60' tall (can't remember exact specs).
We have about 3 1/2 months until Mandy has our baby. I can't believe it, I am going to be a dad. We still haven't decided on a name 100%, boy names have been hard to think of. I do like the ones we have picked so far but I have been trying to think of more names just in case I don't want one of the names we have so far. Maybe I will just name him Shane Jr. that makes it easy.
I think I want to go lay down and watch a movie or something and let the boredom take over me while I try to get into the mood to finish my 8 page research essay for Monday.
