Don't Touch Me!

Today I went in for another prenatal visit to my doctor. Dr. Gatherum was dealing with an emergency so some of his helper nurses were taking care of his appointments while he was gone. Things went as usual with taking a urine sample, blood pressure, measuring my belly and other things but today was different in kind of a funny way. When they put the thing on my abdomen to listen to the heartbeat (I don't know what it's called, but it's not a stethoscope. They use the goo and its similar to the ultrasound thing, but it amplifies the heartbeat through a speaker so everyone can hear it.) she was having difficulty picking it up. She'd find it and he would move or there would be a lot of other noise. You could hear thumping noises and we discovered that our baby was hitting or kicking the place where he could feel the pressure. It made it difficult to get a BPM reading, but we all thought it was funny. He just wasn't going to cooperate. We finally got a reading and everything was normal (162 BPM). He has a good strong heartbeat. It was just funny to think that he was so against us finding out his heart rate. From the ultrasound and this time around checking his heart rate, we can tell that he will most likely have a stubborn streak to him. During the ultrasound he was curled up in a ball making it hard to get measurements or tell what gender he is. He also kept moving around a lot.
